Millstreet Judging Result Sheet - Period 2jpg_Page1 (600 x 425)League Table period 2 21.5.15jpg_Page1The Anti Litter Competition Period Results are in. We are in 4th position again. Not bad but we are definitely in with a chance of winning. The next judging period is start Monday again. 25th May to 3rd June. The entire town will be judged with particular focus on Clara Road for this judging period. With a massive last surge we can most definitely aim to win this competition, if everybody could do their  a small part. Even something as little as keeping the area outside your own house or business premises and just give a quick look and a small tidy up every morning would go a long way in improving our chances. As you can see any points that are gained now are of huge importance. Great result again for this period. Keep up the good work everybody.

Boys National School Talks

Tony Keneally & Sparrow Hawk and Sudents of Boys National SchoolMr Tony Keneally, Wildlife Biologist, this morning visited the Boys National School in Millstreet. Tony gave talks to all classes in the school today about Millstreet and Ireland and the surrounding wildlife. He even brought some visual aids, as seen in the photograph on the right. I was informed that there were also tadpoles and newts which I am sure the boys enjoyed seeing up close. There are many habitats in our area. The River, Clara Mountain, there are also ponds up at Alps. We would sincerely like to thank Tony Keneally for taking the time to visit the Boys School today.
