Presentation To Katleen Crowley

Derry Sheehan, Kathleen Crowley and Gordon O'Keeffe15th April 2015 – A plaque was presented to Kathleen Crowley for her 30 years voluntary service to the Millstreet Tidy Town Association. Kathleen was on of the founding members of the Millstreet Tidy Town Association. We are very lucky and privalaged to have had such a woman who volunteered her time for so long to the association. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Kathleen once again for her dedication over the years.

Nest Boxes

Millstreet Mens Shed Club Presenting Bird Boxes to Millstreet Tidy Town AssociationMillstreet Mens Shed presented the Millstreet Tidy Town Association with 12 beautifully made nest boxes. These nest boxes will be erected in various locations throughout the greener parts of the town. The loactions and pictures will follow in a later post. A huge thank you to Bertie Buckley and the members of Millstreet Mens Shed. Also pictured is Kieran Murphy and Derry Sheehan of Millstreet Tidy Town Association.

Bio Diversity Project

Mr Tony Keneally, Wildlife Biologist has kindly donated his time to the Transition Year Students of Millstreet Community School. They are currently undertaking a Bio Diversity plan for the woodland area at the back of the Community School. The students, led by Tony are to map the area and create a management plan for the area. The best Management Plan will be presented to the Millstreet Tidy Town association and will be used for out entry in the Tidy Town Compettion for 2015. We would like to take this oppurtunity to thank Tony  Keneally, Mr Derry Morley and the teachers and students of Transition Year.
